Madavia, the Malagasy “Booking” revolutionizing local tourism

As part of our partnership with the Nexta incubator in Madagascar, we support innovative startups across the island by providing one year of web and email hosting, along with our technical and digital expertise.

Today, we are highlighting Madavia, an ambitious young startup led by Ferdinand Mario, which aims to become the “Malagasy Booking” by simplifying hotel reservations and accelerating the digitalization of the tourism sector.

Madavia, a Platform Designed for Travelers and Hoteliers

Nicknamed the “Malagasy Booking,” Madavia aims to become the local reference for hotel reservations. The platform is designed to make searching for and booking accommodation simple, fast, and adapted to the realities of the Malagasy market.

With a clear initial roadmap already in place, Madavia aims to:

  • List 300 hotels and reach 10,000 bookings by 2025
  • Expand regionally starting in 2026
  • Ultimately become the national leader before opening up to East Africa

A Project Serving the Tourism Ecosystem

Madavia has a dual objective:

  •  To make life easier for travelers by offering a local solution that remains accessible even without internet access
  •  To support hoteliers in their digital transformation and visibility in the market.

With strong growth ambitions and a direct impact on the tourism sector, Madavia perfectly illustrates the dynamism of a new generation of Malagasy entrepreneurs.

This project is ongoing—we’ll keep you updated here in the coming weeks…
