Why we built our own Odoo management platform

When we launched Odoo Cloud by Hodi, we knew that a simple hosting offer would not be enough. To provide a premium alternative to Odoo.sh in Africa, we had to go further: design a platform capable of centralizing, automating, and simplifying the management of Odoo instances.That is how Hodiploy was born.
Since we began working on Odoo Cloud by Hodi, relocating Odoo in Africa has been an obvious step—but there was no question of delivering a degraded experience for integrators.
We therefore decided to develop our own platform: Hodiploy.
A Centralized View of All Your Instances
From the moment you log in, Hodiploy provides a clear overview of all Odoo instances: status (active, in progress, offline), version, environment (production, dev, staging), last update, and last Git deployment.
At a glance, integrators or companies can instantly understand the state of their infrastructure.
Create and Manage Instances Autonomously
With Hodiploy, creating an Odoo instance only takes a few clicks:
You can choose the name and domain (either a hodiploy.app subdomain or a custom domain), select the Odoo version, branch, and environment, and connect a GitHub or GitLab repository via SSH key.
Fine-Grained Resource Management
CPU, RAM, and number of workers are not fixed. They can be adjusted according to client growth or project needs. This flexibility allows integrators to optimize performance while keeping costs under control.
Native Git Deployment
Hodiploy integrates native Git repository management. SSH connection, tracking of latest deployments, branch visibility, and update history are all included.
SMTP Setup and Advanced Configuration
Hodiploy also allows you to configure a custom SMTP server or use our built-in one. Ports, encryption, authentication—everything is fully configurable.
Real-Time Logs and Monitoring
Each instance provides direct access to logs.
Maintenance events, scheduled updates, module errors, technical alerts—everything is traceable. This level of transparency is essential for production environments.
You don’t run a serious infrastructure without visibility!
Fine-Grained Update Management
Updates can be automatic or manual, scheduled at a specific time slot, with configurable time zones.
This was a key requirement for us: enabling integrators to precisely control deployments and updates.
