At Hodi, we value innovation—and more importantly, we love supporting those who drive it. That’s why we actively choose to join the French Tech network wherever we deploy our services: Réunion, Mauritius, Martinique, and beyond.
We recently joined La French Tech Mauritius, and it is with great pleasure that we discovered a particularly dynamic and enthusiastic team and ecosystem!
On Thursday, February 20, we met at The Wagon for the Invest Night event organized by La French Tech Mauritius. It was an opportunity for Jérôme and Julien to reconnect with familiar faces they had known for years and to discover a particularly lively and dynamic French Tech community. After a few inspiring testimonials about fundraising experiences, meetings with innovative local companies, and a few gadjaks along the way, we were definitively drawn into the Mauritian French Tech adventure!
Paul Perrier from Funkiss (with whom we worked in a previous life!) shared his fundraising experience, the key milestones, and the evolution of his startup.
Mika Diol from Kalispot—an innovative fintech providing financial services in Africa—reminded us of the importance of timing and targeting the right investors.
Thierry Lincoln from Dodobird advocated for a more self-funded approach, focusing on achieving profitability before considering raising funds.
At Hodi, we now want to become even more involved in the ecosystem, while also making our servers and local hosting expertise available to startups and future digital talents in Mauritius.
Oh, and of course, the French Tech Mauritius website has just been hosted on our Mauritian servers. When we say Hodi ♥ La French Tech Mauritius, we really mean it!
