Why we built our own Odoo management platform

When we launched Odoo Cloud by Hodi, we knew that a simple hosting offer wouldn't be enough. To provide a premium alternative to Odoo.sh in Africa, we had to go further: build a platform capable of centralizing, automating and simplifying the management of Odoo instances. That's how Hodiploy was born.
Since we started working on Odoo Cloud by Hodi, relocating Odoo to Africa has been a no-brainer — but there was no way that would mean a degraded experience for integrators.
So we decided to build our own platform: Hodiploy.
A centralized view of all your instances
From the moment you log in, Hodiploy provides a clear overview of all your Odoo instances: status (active, in progress, offline), version, environment (production, dev, staging), last update, last Git deployment.
At a glance, an integrator or a business can see exactly where things stand.
Self-service instance creation and management
With Hodiploy, creating an Odoo instance takes just a few clicks:
- Choose the name and domain (hodiploy.app subdomain or custom domain),
- Odoo version, branch, environment,
- Connect to a GitHub or GitLab repository via SSH key...
FINE-GRAINED RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
CPU, RAM, number of workers: resources are not fixed. They can be adjusted based on client growth or project needs. This flexibility allows integrators to optimize performance while keeping costs under control.
NATIVE GIT DEPLOYMENT
Hodiploy includes built-in Git repository management.
SSH connection, latest deployment tracking, branch display, update history.
SMTP SETTINGS AND ADVANCED CONFIGURATION
Hodiploy also lets you configure a custom SMTP server or use our built-in server. Ports, encryption, authentication: everything is configurable.
REAL-TIME LOGS AND MONITORING
Each instance has direct access to logs.
Maintenance windows, scheduled updates, module errors, technical alerts: everything is traceable. This transparency is essential for production environments.
You don't run a serious infrastructure without visibility!
FINE-GRAINED UPDATE MANAGEMENT
Automatic or manual, scheduled at a specific time slot, with configurable timezone.
This was a key point for us: giving integrators precise control over deployments and updates.
